As an evidential psychic medium, I'm often approached by well-meaning people, who hold many misconceptions about the work I do. Many erroneously believe that I read tarot cards, tell fortunes or cast spells. Nothing could be further from the truth. Some, who have perhaps seen mediums on television, mistakenly believe that mediums constantly get messages from those in the spirit world or that we are just giving generic information, which could potentially apply to anyone. In evidential psychic medium readings I always clarify beforehand that I regard myself as merely a physical voice for those, who no longer reside in the physical world.
To clarify even further, I strive to ensure that I as a medium am not doing anything. I don't ask for information or an object, that belonged to the deceased. I don't request a photo of the deceased. I don't give general information, which could potentially apply to almost anyone. Nor do I need names, dates of birth or anything else of the sort. In evidential psychic medium readings, the medium rather allows himself or herself to blend with the person on the spiritual plane of existence--to essentially become one with him or her, sensing and describing the world as he or she knew it. A grandfather in the spirit world may talk about the smell of a particular aftershave lotion he used, the cup used to drink his coffee in the mornings, or the evening walks he would take with the family shih-tzu dog in the park--just as the sun would set. A mother in the spirit world may talk about the three young adult children she was forced to leave behind as she battled cancer and felt weak and confused prior to her passing. A brother may talk about the military uniform he proudly wore--featured in a family photo in the living room of his mother's house--before he was tragically struck down in combat.
In evidential psychic medium readings the spirits of our loved ones provide irrefutable proof of their continued existence and the unbreakable bond of unconditional love and feelings of gratitude they still have for those in the physical world, bringing about emotional healing and peace in the lives of the people they were forced to leave behind.
An evidential medium allows himself or herself to serve as the voice for those, who no longer have a physical voice. He or she allows himself or herself to become one with the spirit world, bringing forth specific details, that prove the continuity of life beyond the physical world. Life does go on--even beyond the change called death. Evidential mediumship is proof of this.
Love and Light to each of you.
